About Ben Tuxworth

Ben studied BA (Hons) Photography at the University of Cumbria and has worked across a wide range of photography, from weddings and portraiture to e-commerce, product and macro photography. Since joining Adaptalux in 2017, he has spent much of his time experimenting with macro photography, creative lighting and unusual subjects, producing more than 250 photography articles and tutorials, each with a tutorial video and real world photographs.

Much of Ben’s work is based on hands-on experimentation. He enjoys trying new techniques, testing different lighting setups and finding creative ways to photograph subjects that might otherwise be overlooked. His work covers everything from insects and nature to extreme macro, product photography and experimental still life, with a particular interest in exploring what can be achieved with controlled lighting.

Alongside his photography and content work, Ben has played an important role in shaping the visual identity of Adaptalux. His experience in graphic and web design has contributed to the development of the branding, website and creative output. His day-to-day work brings together photography, video, design and marketing to help communicate the creative possibilities of the Adaptalux System.

Ben regularly demonstrates Macro Photography at The Photography Show, the largest UK Photography trade show. Meeting photographers, answering questions and helping visitors get hands-on with the Adaptalux system. These events provide the opportunity to talk directly with the community, understand how photographers are using the products and demonstrate lighting techniques and setups in person.
