This guide will walk you through the key functions of your LED Lighitng.
Return to the product selection screen at any time by pressing the home button.
CHARGING
We charged your pod before it left us but it's a good idea to give it some juice before you start shooting.
Use the provided USB cable to charge your Control Pod.

When plugged in, the indicator light on the top of the Control Pod shows the current status.

Note: The red light may continue to flash occasionally while fully charged as the power is topped up.
TIME TO PLAY!
Lighting Arms plug into the ports on your Control Pod.
They are flexible to adjust to your subject.

Make sure the contacts are clean and free from obstruction.
You will feel a magnetic pull, rotate the arm until it clicks into place.
The Lighting Arm will automatically illuminate at 50% brightness.

LIGHTING ARMS
Removing an arm is as simple as pulling it out.
Don't twist! Just pull the arm away from the Pod.
Removing all arms turns off the Control Pod.

You can change the beam angle of the lighting arms.
Simply unscrew the Lighting Arm Head to limit the beam of light.

Each lighting arm can be adjusted to the brightness you need.

CONTROL
Tap the dial to enter manual adjustment mode.
You can press the dial multiple times to select each arm in sequence.
The light at the end of the Lighting Arm will pulse to show which arm is being adjusted.

While the selected arm is pulsing, rotate the dial anti-clockwise to decrease brightness or clockwise to increase brightness.
When you are happy with your new settings, leave the pod for a few seconds. The pulse will end and the pod will return to normal mode with your new brightness settings saved.

BOOST MODE
The Control Pod has a boost function, that provides more power at the expense of battery life.
Holding the dial while not in control or Bluetooth mode will toggle boost mode on and off.

Effect componants like Filters and Diffusers can be snapped onto the end of Lighting Arms to modify the light.

Connect at least one Lighting Arm to the Pod
Enable bluetooth in your phone settings
Open the Adaptalux App on your device.

GET READY TO CONNECT
Press the + button on the top right of the screen (IOS users only).
Press Connect to Control Pod to begin searching for a Pod.

CONNECT TO THE CONTROL POD
Press the bluetooth button once until a solid blue indicator illuminates, or until the pod shows on the App.
To deactivate Bluetooth mode when you are finished, hold the bluetooth button again for 2-3 seconds

A blue indicator light will show while the Control Pod is in bluetooth discovery mode.
The indicator light will turn off once connected to the app.
When the Pod is discovered, press Connect to this Pod.
When the sync options appear, choose if you would like to sync the pod's current settings to the app, or send the app settings to the pod.

CONNECT TO THE CONTROL POD
When the pod is connected to the App, manual brightness control is disabled and Lighting Arms are controlled from your device.
Select an arm and use the slider to adjust it's power. Toggle boost mode using the switch on the top right.
When you are finished, hold the bluetooth button for 2 seconds to turn off Bluetooth mode and return to manual brightness control.

After disconnecting a Flash Lighting Arm from the Control Pod, hold the discharge button for 5-7 seconds to discharge any remaining power. Continue

FLASH EMITTER
The Flash Emitter triggers the Flash Arms to fire. It attaches to the camera hotshoe.
The Emitter is powered by 2 AAA batteries. Batteries are inserted via the battery flap.
Insert 2 AAA batteries, keeping the ribbon below the batteries for ease of removal.

FLASH EMITTER
Attach the emitter to the camera hotshoe and tighten using the locking wheel.
Turn on the emitter using the power button.
A green indicator light will show at the rear of the Emitter when powered on.

The emitter requires line of sight to the window on the base of the Flash Arms.
Line of sight can be indirect if the IR pulse is able to bounce off nearby objects (like a reflector or surface).
Use the test button on the emitter to test the position of the Flash Arms.

Flash Arms will fire automatically when the camera shutter is pressed.
Allow a short time between photos for the Flash Arms to recharge. This time will depend on the power setting.
The Control Pod can be mounted to the Flash Emitter for on-camera lighting.

Gels can be attached to Flash Lighing Arms to change the colour and diffusion of the light.

Pro-Hoods can be attached to the Flash Arms with or without a Gel. Pro Hoods further modify and control the light.

Holding the dial while not in "control" or "Bluetooth" mode will toggle boost mode on and off.
Flash Arms require boost mode to be activated to access the full range of flash levels.

Red lights indicate the speed of the flash. The more lights, the faster the flash.
Fast flash speeds freeze motion and use less battery, but are less bright.
