It’s been a long old road for the android app but we are finally here, today we are releasing the beta version for testing. This is an open beta, so everyone can opt in and help to test the app’s functions.
The android app, like the iOS version, allows live brightness control of the Adaptalux Studio via Bluetooth. It’s extremely handy for controlling your lighting remotely and making adjustments to lighting setups without disturbing delicate subjects.
We need your help testing the app for bugs during the beta, your feedback is extremely valuable as we work towards a final release. Please click below to opt in to the beta and download the app on your Android device. Let us know your experiences wile using it.
[EDIT]
Thanks to everyone who tested the app while in beta. You can download the app from the link above.

While this is probably obvious, I figured I’d supply a small correction to your issues list above: Android 6.0+ users need to grant the location permission before connecting to a pod.
I just tried it without on Android 8.1 and confirmed without granting that permission, it doesn’t work either. Beyond that, the app seems to be working on a Google Pixel 2 XL running Android 8.1.
Thanks for the correction, Garett. It is indeed all versions after 6.0 that will need permission. This will be fixed for the final release.
