Introducing Pod Mini 2.0

Today, we are happy to announce that we are releasing new new and improved Pod Mini 2.0. The Bluetooth Enabled Pod Mini 2.0 brings a range of highly anticipated upgrades.

The Pod Mini, quickly became one of our fastest selling products over the years. We know the it has has been out of stock for a little while as we have been working dillegently to level up the Pod Mini. The wait is over, the Pod Mini 2.0 is now in stock, with a host of improvements.

The electronics of the Pod Mini 2.0 have been completely re-designed, Bluetooth Support added along with Multi-pod connectivity, you will also notice some aesthetic and build improvements too.

This is a BIG update for a mini product.

New features –  Pod Mini 2.0

Bluetooth Support and App Connectivity

The biggest change that comes to the Pod Mini 2.0, is it can now be controlled wirelessly via the Adaptalux App!

To accomodate this new functionality, we have also completely re-designed the Adaptalux App, meaning you can now connect to multiple Pods at once within your lighting setup. Add as many Pod 3.0 and Pod Mini 2.0’s as you require – it really is a gamechanger!

App Control gives you full control and the ability to fine-tune your power settings via the Pod Mini for both the LED Lighting Arms and Xenon Flash Lighting Arms across your entire lighting environment.

The Pod Mini 2.0 is easy to connect, simply add a Lighting Arm and it will enter bluetooth discovery mode automatically, ready for you to add to the Adaptalux App. For those who want the latest technology, the Bluetooth Enabled Pod Mini 2.0 offers the simplest connection experience yet.

Of course, the Pod Mini also keeps boost mode, which can now also be toggled on and off via the App as well.

In-use On and Off functionality

We received a lot of feedback from the original Pod Mini that users need the ability to manually turn the product off and on with a Lighting Arm still attatched.

We added this function to the Pod Mini 2.0, simply hold both the + and – buttons for a few seconds and it will turn the Pod Mini off. To turn on from where you left it, tap the + button. In summary, these improvements to the Bluetooth Enabled Pod Mini 2.0 make it even easier to control your lighting.

New Look

We have given the Pod Mini 2.0 a new look, making it feel more at home within the Adaptalux System.

The Mini now features a 2mm thick anodised aerospace grade aluminium frontplate, which is extremely durable and looks fantastic. This replaces the acrylic frontplate from the original. (We noticed many people didn’t realise they had a white protective coating ha!)

We have also made the + and – buttons dark grey, which tie the overall new look of the Mini together with the dark grey frontplate. Darker buttons also minimise any unwanted highlights in the background of an image where a mini may be hiding.

The Pod Mini 2.0 keeps the same patented connector system, so all Lighting Arms both new and old will remain compatible.

Improved Battery Management System

The Pod Mini 2.0 has a completely re-designed battery management system. While the in-use battery life remains the same, its management system is now much smarter. This means less bluetooth does not affect battery life, and the Pod will retain charge for much longer when not in use.

Easy to Use Master Reset Procedure

The Pod Mini 2.0 now has a dedicated master reset sequence. This can be activated easily when needed, by simply holding the + and – buttons down for 8 seconds when not in use.
