Hi Everyone,
Lots more progress photos to show you regarding the manufacture of Adaptalux, a little competition, Adaptalux photos and a build up to a very BIG update we have coming in September.
CNC Machining of parts:-
Adaptalux utilises parts that are made out of aluminium, which are machined to very tight tolerances and are anodised to give a hard and durable finish. These parts are now well under way and most are now heading into the anodising process. Dimensional checks have been completed and we are pleased to announce they are spot on. Here are some images!

The front plate for the Control Pod is also now in production. They have gone through the first phase of CNC machining and are about to enter the second phase.

Injection Molded Parts:-
We have received the first samples of some of the injection molded parts this week. They look great and have now been analysed in full and a report sent back to the supplier. There are some small details that need improving, but apart from that these parts should be ready to be mass produced very soon once a second set of improved samples are received, evaluated and approved.

A Big Delivery:-
Yesterday we received a big delivery of the flexible tubing for the Lighting Arms. Sam is quickly running out of garage space! They look great, have awesome movement and have a high quality feel to them. We are very pleased with them.

Parts such as USB cables and other small but crucial adaptalux parts have now been ordered and some have been received.

A Competition:-
One of the other important parts we have received are the screws used for the assembly of the Control Pod. Guess how many screws are in the glass by using the photographs below. You have one week to submit your guesses via Facebook, Twitter or via the comments below. The closest guess will be crowned the winner, which will be announced in the next update and will receive a free diffuser or colour filter of their choice!

An Exciting Announcement Coming Soon!
Some extra special developments are happening behind the scenes and we will be making a major announcement in September, which we know that existing KS backers and people who have pre-ordered are going to be delighted about!ย We are just ensuring everything is working properly before we commit to announcing it. We promise it will not disappoint!
