EXCITING UPDATE!

All close-up photos featured in this update have been captured using the fully finished Adaptalux product.

Photographed using the finished Adaptalux product. — The packaging finally arrived yesterday and we are extremely pleased with it. Sam and his brother James, designed the packaging and worked with a packaging company to get it manufactured over the last few months. This has been a lengthy process, but the wait has been worth it. So sit back and prepare yourself for some Adaptalux eye candy.

We already have designs completed to manufacture individual Lighting Arms and Diffuser/Colour Filter boxes. These can be manufactured as soon as we pay for it, but we felt it was best to utilise this extra money on the product for now with our limited resources and funds. Manufacturing the Starter, Combo and Ultimate packaging was very expensive, it would have really stretched us financially if we did it all at once.

What is left to do?

Things are certainly coming together. At the moment we are waiting for the sub-assemblies and PCB’s to arrive From China. We are expecting the PCB’s by the 7th of June and the sub-assemblies around the same time.

We are still assembling the Control Pod shells, but we are getting through it with are very small team. Once the PCB’s and sub-assemblies arrive, we plan to ship out the BETA pack awards alongside review units for some big websites and professional photographers. It will then be a case of making & shipping the product in parallel with each other through the upcoming months. Once the BETA awards have been shipped, we will put up a detailed shipping plan with dates for each award level and website orders. We have already organised and been approved for a Royal Mail Business shipping account and everything is in place to start shipping the product to you. For now, it seems June, July & August will be the months where shipping will occur, assuming everything goes smoothly from here.

Something to finish with…

To finish this update, we will leave you with how Adaptalux can be used to enhance your close-up images when used outside mounted on a camera. First, a image captured just using natural light (bright overcast day – white cloud).

Same subject and camera settings. But this time a Adaptalux has been mounted to the camera with a 50% brightness Red Lighting Arm & a 70% brightness White Lighting Arm.
