The Flash Trigger is the communication companion to Adaptalux Xenon Flash Arms. It uses radio signals to trigger the Adaptalux Xenon Flash Arms when you press the camera shutter button to take your photo.
The trigger uses a universal hot shoe connection, maintaining compatibility with the majority of camera systems. Optionally, mount your Pod on top of the trigger for a hand held flash setup.
The trigger can also be mounted to the camera while the Flash Arms and Pod remain off-camera, perfect for side or back lighting. The trigger and flash arms have a working range of up to 3 metres, ideal for all macro subjects.
Note:This trigger is not required for LED Lighting Arms. You will require a Control Pod or Pod Mini and Flash Arms to use the Xenon Flash Trigger, if you don’t already own one, please add these items to your basket before checking out.

The lights occasionally lose contact and turn off when adjusting the arms, requiring a slight readjustment to turn back on, and the arms have some stiffness that causes them to spring out of position at times, these are very minor quirks that don’t detract from an excellent product.
This kit has opened up new creative lighting possibilities for my photography. Highly recommended

Flexible lighting that can be controlled
After years of lighting my macro shots with natural light or flash, I came across Daniel Aucoin’s videos, in which he uses Adaptalux. Adaptalux LED lighting has significantly increased my creativity. I enjoy sitting in front of small subjects such as mushrooms for half an hour or more, playing around with the lighting. The ability to control the light with my mobile phone is also brilliant – I can check the lighting in the viewfinder without accidentally moving the lamps! I currently use the Control Pod 3.0 and three white LED Lighting Arms.

Great but still room to improve
I’m genuinely loving the Adaptalux kit I’ve bought and whilst I went big early, I’m already getting strong results. That said still very very useful.

I’m very impressed with Adaptalux!
I got the full kit (not the starter) — each arm lets you adjust both the intensity and diffusion of light. The ultraviolet is truly fascinating, giving me an image that can’t be replicated with any other light source.
I’m still getting used to the flashes, but they look promising — you can mount them on the camera or use them separately. I recommend getting diffusers and an extra second pod, which is useful for lighting from two sides.
The only downside: my Pod 3 didn’t connect to the Android app, but it has its own on-body controls, and the flashes have their own controls that are even more convenient.

Versatility and modularity
When I first saw an Adaptalux video on YouTube, I thought this would be a good occasion to reconnect with macro photo.
So I bought a pod 3, a few lighting arms (including UV, I have a full spectrum camera, so that’s B&W pictures, works somehow as the white lightning arms in « normal » photography). I was amazed by the quality of the packaging.
In a month, I didn’t have time enough to shoot a lot (actually quite bad weather …), and, although I am still learning how to master the light with this new equipment, I already have other ideas (moss and fungis), and bought a xenon flash and pod mini, which came with the same perfect packaging.

ease of use and quality of product
I had been using the Nikon flash system but didn’t fully meet my lighting needs. When shooting extreme macro shots, it was hard to get the proper light in the correct location. Since using the adaptalux lighting system it is so much easier to place the lighting arms precisely and see in real time, what effect it has. 100% satisfied.

A world of light and fun awaits
Hi guys, after watching many of Ben’s YouTube tutorials for quite a while, I bought a pack of lighting equipment and found them to be of very good quality in both design and manufacturing. Haven’t had much time to use them but found them a little tricky at first but getting used to them, learning to get them in close enough to the subject and can see endless opportunities to capture macro abstracts. I found the controller wheel a little fiddly so pleased that you have put the controls on an app, however wouldn’t work on my mobile android poss a screen protector issue as it works brilliantly on my iPad. Now the seasons are changing hopefully plenty of fun to be had with the various set ups.

Unlocking a new world of photography
The ultraviolet lighting arm is a must-have for this surreal photography world. Simple setup – I produced fantastic otherworldly images in minutes. Just get used to working in the dark and be patient, adjusting exposures. There are lots of resources available on the website. my favorite thing about Adaptalux is
II bought the complete kit, the one with the UV light. So far I have tested the UV lamps the results are really impressive, next test will be the flowers with and without tonic water. As for the colored lamps, I tried the paper effects and a few miniature photos and I am more and more impressed, the only regret is that I should have made this purchase much earlier. Now I’m impatiently waiting for the Flash Zenon to come back in stock.
