I’m genuinely loving the Adaptalux kit I’ve bought and whilst I went big early, I’m already getting strong results. There are some improvements as my pod minis take a while and flicker unnecessarily because of what could be weak magnet connection or a loose fit. That said still very very useful.

The uses of the individual light sources on the object is ingenious. It’s like post-processing images in the beginning… I still have a lot to practice, especially in the macro area, but with this system it is really fun. Adaptalux led arms are very flexible to be precisely set where needed on my settings. I really enjoy power dosing of each light through the app. Pod mini and control pod are very complementary, according to your settings. I highly recommend the adaptalux system for the light quality (precised colour temperature, beam angle adjustable).

Pod version 3 as update to version 1

I updated my version 1 pod to version 3 due to the boost mode, which I like for iris-photography. It is not a cheap tool, but for macro-photography the best on the market.
