LED Lighting Arms are now IP67 Rated!

We are thrilled to announce that our LED Lighting Arms are now IP67 rated! After making further improvements to the assembly, we sent sample products to be Independently tested and verified by testing house Product Approvals, who are TÜV Rheinland Certified.

The IP Testing report concluded a “A very well-made product, it is sealed by design and passed all tests”.

Adaptalux LED Lighting Arms have always been known for their flexibility, colour accuracy and innovative design. Now they are even more robust than ever, and photographers can be even more confident to shoot in all environments.

Products that we can now declare are IP67 rated are; White, Blue, Green, Red, Amber, UV and Super Bright LED Lighting Arms.

What does IP67 Mean?

An IP67 rating means your LED Lighting Arms are completely dust-tight and can withstand immersion in water up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.

In practice, that means total protection from rain, moisture, and outdoor elements — perfect for macro photography in nature, challenging studio environments, or creative setups that push boundaries.

You can focus on capturing the shot without worrying about your lighting.

Using LED Lighting Arms under water

IP67 now means LED Lighting Arms can be used to illuminate objects under water, without the worry of water ingress and damage to the LED. This means you can now use macro set ups and bend the arms into water if required.

*Please note Control Pods are not IP67 rated, and cannot be submerged into water.

We are very pleased with this design addition to the LED Lighting Arms, and feel it will open up even more macro photography opportunities with them.
