Adaptalux Roundup 2025

Hello everyone, it’s that time of year again. This year has flown by!

2025 has been an extremely busy year. I hope everyone has had a good year and looking forwards to the Christmas festivities over the next week or so.

Adaptalux has pushed forwards again this year, introducing thousands more macro photographers to our innovative and creative lighting products. Our reviews say a lot about the products we produce, and we are tremendously happy with how our community is growing and complementing how our products enhance their photographs enormously. We have various professional photographers now endorsing our system and using it on a daily basis – brilliant!

There are plenty of new things in development and in the pipeline for next year, so I am excited for what 2026 will bring and hoping some of our latest product ideas and inspiration will bring even further enhancements to your macro photography.

More Product Improvements

Continuous improvement is built into the heart of everything we do here, so when we identify something that can be improved, we do it! Here are some of the key product enhancements/launches made this year:

• Improved Pod Mini and Pod 3 software.
• IP67 LED Lighting Arms.
• Xenon Flash Gen 2
• Expanded the number of parts we manufacture in-house (yet again!).
• Stabiliser 2.0
• New Accessories

We hope these improvements continue to enrich your Adaptalux experience and push the boundaries of what you can do with your lighting.

On the Horizon

As I mentioned in my introductory paragraphs, there are plenty of new ideas and products in the pipeline. In fact, I am surrounded by prototypes right now in my office (again), this always seems to happen at this point of the year!

We have also got more professional photographers coming on board and using our lighting for their own macro purposes on Youtube and other SM channels, so stay tuned for this.

A Personal Note

My children, Arthur and Oliver are now maturing into full on toddlers! Arthurs is extremely excited for Santa Claus this year and he is thoroughly understanding Christmas now. Oliver not so much yet, but he is growing extremely quickly now! I would also like to thank my incredible wife again as well, for putting up with me working quite late at some points in the year, and also enduring me talking about the world of Adaptalux more often than not!

Marketing, AMPA Awards and our Amazing Community

We really love our community. The photography we continue to see daily on the Adaptalux Community Group blows us away. It is incredible the number of creative ways you use our lighting products, to create truly inspiring photographs.

We have just judged our second AMPA photography awards this year, the Adaptalux Macro Photography Awards (or AMPA). We had over 1,000 entries again of an extremely high calibre. Winners for 2025 will be revealed in January. You can visit the shortlist here.

As usual, I would like to thank Ben for his hard work this year. He continues to work on many advances within the website, our marketing strategy and the AMPA awards themselves. Of course, he also continues to make our amazing Adaptalux tutorials, inspiring you all to try out new macro techniques and subjects.

Shipping & Assembly Department

Also a big thank you to Billie & Danielle, who have been extremely busy this year. A record year in orders means many more parcels needed to be picked, packed and shipped to you. It also means more products need to be assembled, which Danielle does extremely well. Thank you both for your extremely hard work.

What is next in 2026?

We have plenty more plans for 2026, so watch this space closely. The Photography Show is back in March at Birmingham NEC, we have a bigger stand and a really good spot on this year! It really is an honour to still be providing bespoke macro lighting products photographers need to create their amazing images. We will continue to innovate, and continue to provide professional grade lighting, that allows limitless creativity.
