This help article is for Flash Arms purchased before December 2024.
Flash Arm will not Fire at all, but the Emitter test button works.
- Ensure the Emitter is not low on battery.
- Ensure Emitter is fully secured on to your Cameras hotshoe.
- Ensure your camera is turned on and your shutter speed is 1/200s or lower.
Flash Arm only fires sometimes
- Ensure your Pod is sufficiently charged and you are using boost mode so your intended power level is been reached on the Flash Arm.
- Ensure the Flash Arm black circular window has a good line of sight with the Emitter. This can either be a direct line of sight or via reflection off a surface. Use the Emitter test button to determine this.
- Ensure you are waiting sufficient time for that set power level for it to re-charge between shots.
Flash Arm does not fire at all
- Ensure your Emitter is turned on, does it fire using the test button?
- Ensure your Emitter is not low on battery.
- Ensure your Pod is sufficiently charged to support the Flash Arm power demands.
- Ensure your Flash Lighting Arm is connected to your Pod properly.
- Ensure the Flash Arm black circular window has a good line of sight with the Emitter. This can either be a direct line of sight or via reflection off a surface. Use the Emitter test button to determine this.
