Yay! We made it on Kickstarter…

Hello everyone!

We are pleased to tell you that we have now raised over £100,000 on our Kickstarter campaign. Thats over $153,000 and it means we are now over our funding goal! We would like to thank everyone who has supported the campaign over the last 6 weeks. We are very humbled and we really appreciate your support. Did you know Adaptalux is now the 9th highest funded photography product in the design category of Kickstarter ever! We cannot wait to get Adaptalux into your hands, and see your amazing photographs.

We still have over 2 days left of the campaign, so lets try and reach our first stretch goals! So please, carry on sharing the campaign with your friends and via social media. You have all done a fantastic job so far!

Again, thank you for your support. You all mean the world to us as the backers who have made Adaptalux possible and we will never forget your support.

The Future is Bright for Adaptalux!

1 Week left to support Adaptalux on Kickstarter! Please CLICK HERE to find out how to pledge and get your own Adaptalux.

We have now raised over £81,000, which is over $123,000! Absolutely amazing and we are very thankful to everyone who has supported us so far.

We just want to give you a quick insight to our future plans with Adaptalux. Our Kickstarter campaign is a key stepping stone to an incredible Adaptalux product range in the future. It is important to stress, all future Adaptalux attachments WILL be compatible with the current Control Pod and attachments. The beauty of modular design is we can create new components that work well with our existing designs. Here is a quick infographic we have put together showing some of the future and current plans for Adaptalux components, which will expand your lighting capabilities even more.

By coming in with us now via our Kickstarter campaign, you will help us achieve this key stepping stone and you will be able to expand on your Adaptalux kit immensely in the future.

Production

We feel it is important to stress a few things regarding the production of Adaptalux. Firstly, we have already invested a lot of money into this project to get to the stage where we are. The prototype shown in our campaign is a pre-production model, with the parts manufactured by our chosen manufacturers. This puts us in a great place, we know our product can be manufactured using the techniques and materials we want to use, and we know the companies we have chosen can deliver to the quality that we expect at the prices we have been quoted. All of the macro images we show have been captured using our prototype, we know it works well and we are confident you will love it! Some projects use 3D printed prototypes for Kickstarter, which is the reason some get into a sticky situation later down the line with product delays and cost implications. We have made sure this will not happen to us.

Distributor Interest

We are already in talks with a major global distributor who want to take Adaptalux into photography retail outlets. They absolutely love the idea and think the product could be a game changer. This is fantastic news and it further supports that once we are successfully funded, the future of Adaptalux looks bright!

Carry on Sharing

We are now in the final week of the Adaptalux Kickstarter campaign. We are still confident we can reach our goal with your continued support, and what we have achieved so far is a fantastic achievement in itself, no one had even heard of us over a month ago! So please, share the campaign, shout about it from rooftops, tell your friends… with your help we can do this!

Thank you once again!

The Adaptalux Team!

ADAPTALUX JUST GOT BETTER – Bluetooth and Wifi Compatibility at Launch!

bluetooth banner

This is a very exciting update based on feedback from our existing Kickstarter supporters. We have been busy working behind the scenes to bring a great feature to Adaptalux for the product launch. The Control Pod will now be Bluetooth and Wi-Fi ready from launch at no extra cost.

What does this mean?

This means the Adaptalux App has just became a much more powerful tool for photography lighting. You will now be able to upload and download your lighting electronic settings wirelessly to and from the Control Pod with one click of a button on your phone or computer. It also allows for ‘live’ electronic adjustments for your Adaptalux lighting environment using the Adaptalux App. Furthermore, it will allow for firmware updates, so we can add new electronic features to your Adaptalux over the air or through USB.

An Exciting Future:-

This is an exciting update, which opens up lots of possibilities for the future of Adaptalux. For example, we have ideas for RGB panel attachments that will give you the ability to mix your own lighting colours on your phone. We also have an idea to integrate a ‘Live lighting show’ feature to the app for videography work.

To find out more, follow the link! ADAPTALUX UPDATE

We really hope you are as excited as we are about this update, so please spread the news with your friends and via social media.

Many thanks,

The Adaptalux Team!

Why Start Macro Videography?

Hello,

You may have seen my post a few weeks ago, why start macro photography?

I have decided to write a similar post but turning my attention to macro videography. Most modern digital cameras have the ability to produce HD video recordings. This is great news for the photography market in general, as it means you no longer have to buy a camera and a video recorder, you get both in one package.

There is also another huge advantage to this, you can now shoot macro photos and video without changing your photographic equipment. See some amazing movement in your viewfinder? Just hit that record button and then go back to snapping still shots. Its easy, and with Adaptalux its even easier. There is now no need to change your lighting configurations for photos and videos, Adaptalux does both.

Check out this video of a really ordinary subject, washing-up liquid. Add a macro lens, some unique lighting and start filming and suddenly you are immersed in a completely new world. Everyone with a computer can get some free video editing software such as iMovie or Movie maker. Do more with the videos you capture and turn them into stories.

Macro videography allows you to see the amazing miniature worlds seen down a macro lens in real time. Compare it to been an ant, and how they see the world, its incredible, its inspiring.

Go try macro videography now, you will not be disappointed. If you would like any help or tips, then send us a message below!

Many thanks,

Sam
